Piece of Memorabilia

Here’s a picture I just happened to find while I was looking for something on my PC. It’s a picture of the case from my old bass I use to have.

For some reason one day when I was really sick with a head cold, I got this great idea to write a bunch of stuff on the sides of my bass case with a silver paint pen. This is something that I would never consider doing now. I guess I was delirious from the cough medicine or just spaced out from the illness.

In any case, I got out a bunch of my philosophy books and went to town on covering the entire outside of my bass case. I thought it looked cool at the time but eventually got discussed with it and was seriously considering painting over all the writing.

Besides looking gaudy as hell it seem to attract some weird people when I was out walking around in public.

I can remember this one time when I was getting off a street-car with my bass I was followed and approached by 4 younger people who identified themselves as Christians. I don’t remember what exactly they said to me but I do remember they were a little worked up by some of the stuff that was written on the side my bass case. I think I just politely brushed them off and went on my way.

Anyway … it’s a weird part of my life that I though was worth sharing.
