SampleTron and AmpliTube3

I purchased the virtual instrument software “SampleTron” by IK Multimedia the other day. Needless to the SampleTron is great and comes with a whole bunch of sounds and are easily controllable and  sounds great just as I expected and seen on YouTube (ie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftlbeuq4kTQ).

Anyway what really got me goin’ was the free version of their guitar amplifier and effect modeling software “AmpliTube3″(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv86WGyCB-Q&feature=fvst) (. I’ve worked with a lot of the real versions of their virtual music hardware and I got to tell you that the stuff that comes with the “free” edition is really good and some of the other stuff I tried and eventually bought sound REALLY good! I stayed until 4:00 AM playing my guitar through one of everything. You can try out anything for two days at a time (with a two month limit before can demo it again). Anyway it was like drinking a pot of coffee and getting locked in a big music store all night (reminds me of the good old days).

Both highly recommended – definitely worth the money.

PS – SampleTron also comes with SampleTank. I haven’t had a chance to dive into that yet but I’ll let you know in the near future.
